PRP - (Karta Stałego Pobytu)
PRP - Permanent residence permit (Karta Stałego Pobytu) is a type of Karta Pobytu that entitles a person to permanent residence in Poland. The Karta Stałego Pobytu provides more opportunities and rights and is the last step before obtaining full citizenship of the Republic of Poland. It allows foreigners to work without additional permits, register their own business and travel freely within the European Union. This card can be issued to persons who have a Pole's Card and have been permanently residing in Poland for at least 5 years.

Who can get Permanent residence permit (Karta Stałego Pobytu) in Poland?
- A foreigner of Polish ancestry who intends to permanently reside on the territory of the Republic of Poland and at least one of his parents, grandparents or two great-grandparents had Polish citizenship
- a foreigner holding a valid Polish Card (Karta Polaka), who intends to reside permanently on the territory of the Republic of Poland
- a foreigner who is married to a Polish citizen recognised by Polish law and who has been married for at least 3 years before the day of submitting the application for a permanent residence permit (Karta Stałego Pobytu) and immediately before submitting the application has continuously resided on Polish territory for at least 2 years under a temporary residence permit (Karta Pobytu) issued on the basis of marriage with a Polish citizen (Article 158(1)(1) of the Act on Foreigners) or on the basis of obtaining refugee status, subsidiary protection or residence permit for humanitarian reasons.
- children of foreigners who already have a residence permit (Karta Pobytu). Basic condition: a) the child was born after the parents obtained the Permanent Residence Permit (Karta Stałego Pobytu); b) the child was born during the period of temporary residence permit status (Karta Pobytu) of the parents, after which they obtained the Permanent Residence Permit (Karta Stałego Pobytu)
- a foreigner who immediately before submitting an application for a permanent residence permit for permanent residence permit (Karta Stałego Pobytu) has continuously stayed on Polish territory for at least 5 years on the basis of refugee status, subsidiary protection or residence permit for humanitarian reasons.
- a foreigner who, immediately before submitting the application for permanent residence permit for permanent residence (Karta Stałego Pobytu), has continuously resided on Polish territory for at least 10 years on the basis of a tolerated stay permit issued pursuant to Article 351 (1) or (3) of the Act on Foreigners.
- a foreigner who has been granted asylum on the territory of the Republic of Poland.
- a victim of human trafficking who: resided in the territory of Poland immediately before submitting the application for a permanent residence permit for permanent residence (Karta Stałego Pobytu) for at least 1 year on the basis of a temporary residence permit for victims of human trafficking
- foreigners who cooperated with law enforcement authorities in criminal proceedings for the offence referred to in Article 189a § 1 of the Criminal Code and who have a well-founded fear of being returned to their country of origin
- foreigners who have been officially employed for more than four years in an occupation that is on the list of professions required and in high demand
